Valdesquí Webcam Live: Slopes, Road and Snow Today

Webcam Valdesquí en directo

Caranva Sports. |

Here are the Valdesquí webcams live: the resort's two official cameras, at the Estadium area and the Collado, plus three DGT traffic cameras on the access roads. Below them you have the weather and snow right now at the base and at the top. Check them before you leave Madrid and you will know whether there is snow in Valdesquí today and what the drive over the Puerto de Navacerrada looks like.

Valdesquí webcams live

The Valdesquí live cam images at the Estadium area and the Collado come from the resort itself and refresh every few minutes. The other three belong to the DGT, Spain's traffic authority, and show the road and its surroundings, not the slopes.

Puerto de Navacerrada · CL-601, pk 24The Puerto de Navacerrada from the CL-601. From here you carry on along the M-604 towards Cotos and Valdesquí: if the pass is white, the M-604 will usually have snow too. · DGT

Weather and snow in Valdesquí now

Temperature, wind and forecast snow right now at the Valdesquí base and at the top of the resort, which runs from about 1,860 to 2,270 m. It is a weather model forecast, not the resort's official snow report.

What to look for on the Valdesquí webcams before you go up

  • Is the snow cover good? The Estadium camera shows whether the snow covers the ground or whether rocks and grass are poking through. If you can see bare patches, cover is thin and it is worth checking which runs are open.
  • What is the snow like? A matt, unmarked surface after a snowfall means powder. If it shines first thing, it is hard or icy; wait for the sun to soften it.
  • Is it windy up top? If you see snow blowing at the Collado or along the edges of the runs, the wind is strong. Wrap up warmer than the thermometer suggests.

When to check the webcams

Look at the Valdesquí cameras the night before to see whether it has snowed during the day, although they are dark at night. Check again between 8 and 9 am, once it is light, and look at the DGT cameras at the same time to decide whether to take chains.

Getting to Valdesquí: road, snow chains and parking

You reach Valdesquí via the Puerto de Navacerrada, taking the M-601 from Madrid, and from there the M-604 towards Cotos. When it snows, the DGT can require chains or winter tyres on the mountain passes: check dgt.es or call 011 before you set off.

On snowy weekends the access road and car parks get saturated, so leave very early. For a closer look at the drive up, there are five DGT cameras on the Navacerrada webcam page.

If the webcam says yes: get your gear sorted

If the webcam shows snow, arrive with your kit sorted: book your ski hire in Navacerrada, in the Sierra de Guadarrama, online. For runs, lift passes and weather, see our Valdesquí guide. Full adult ski set from €17/day.

Valdesquí webcam FAQ

Which are the official Valdesquí webcams?

The resort has two cameras on this page: the Estadium area and the Collado. The other three are DGT traffic cameras on the access roads.

How often do they refresh?

The resort cameras update every few minutes. The DGT cameras also refresh on their own; reload the page to see the latest image.

Can I see them at night?

They are dark at night. From 8 am onwards you can see the snow and the state of the road clearly.

Is there snow in Valdesquí today?

Look at the Estadium camera and the weather panel, which shows yesterday's snowfall and the forecast for today and tomorrow. The resort publishes the open runs in its snow report.

Do I need snow chains to drive to Valdesquí?

It depends on the day. When it snows, the DGT can require chains or winter tyres on the passes; check the M-601 cameras and the official notice at dgt.es or on 011.

Is there a Cotos webcam?

There is no camera on the M-604, the road to Cotos, on this page. The Valdesquí cameras and the Puerto de Navacerrada camera are the best guide to conditions in the area.
