Hotels in Sierra Nevada 2026/27: Where to Stay in Pradollano

CaranvaSports |

Almost all of the resort's accommodation is in Pradollano, at 2,100 m and slope-side: you walk out of your hotel and within minutes you're at the gondolas. These are the main options, from the hotel with a spa to the hostel, and when it's worth sleeping down in Granada instead.

Slope-Side Hotels in Pradollano

Meliá Sol y Nieve

On the Pradollano square, in the centre of the resort and about a hundred metres from the lifts. It has a gym and spa, and has been named Spain's best ski hotel several times. It's the most convenient option if you want to go skiing without taking the car.

Meliá Sierra Nevada

The chain's other big hotel in Pradollano, also a few minutes' walk from the lifts. Together with the Sol y Nieve it accounts for a large share of the resort's hotel searches, so on high-season weekends it's best to book in advance.

El Lodge

In El Balcón de Pradollano, next to the gondolas and chairlifts that go up to Borreguiles (2,645 m). Mountain-refuge style, designed for those looking for more exclusive accommodation.

Hotel Kenia Nevada

With a Turkish bath and jacuzzi, in the slopes area and close to the Parador chairlift. A classic mountain option for recovering after a day's skiing.

Hotel Maribel

A four-star hotel with mountain-view rooms, a few minutes' walk from the slopes.

Hotel Ziryab and Hotel Nevasur

The Ziryab stands out for its Alpine-style architecture; the three-star Nevasur is a mid-priced alternative at the resort.

Albergue Inturjoven Sierra Nevada: The Budget Option

The Junta de Andalucía youth hostel is next to the Virgen de las Nieves chairlift, about five minutes' walk from the slopes. It has heated private and shared rooms, a dining room with buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, and it prepares packed lunches to eat on the slopes. Very handy for groups, school trips and anyone travelling on a tight budget.

Apartments in Sierra Nevada

If you're going as a family or group and staying several days, an apartment usually works out cheaper per person than a hotel and lets you cook. See our guide to slope-side apartment accommodation.

Stay in Pradollano or in Granada?

  • Pradollano: you ski straight out, without depending on the road or parking. More expensive in high season.
  • Granada or Monachil: cheaper and with the city and the Alhambra close by, but you add about 35-45 minutes of driving up the A-395 every morning and you have to park. See how to get to Sierra Nevada and where to park in Pradollano.

Your Gear, Without Hauling It to the Hotel

Wherever you stay, your ski rental in Sierra Nevada is picked up in Pradollano, next to the Al-Ándalus gondola, on the day you start skiing: no need to bring equipment up from home or keep it in your room. Round off the trip with the lift pass and, if needed, snow clothing.
