Navacerrada Webcam Live: the Pass, the Roads and Snow Today

Webcam Navacerrada en directo: el puerto, las carreteras y la nieve hoy

Updated 6 min read

Here are the Navacerrada webcams live: five DGT traffic cameras on the M-601, the CL-601 and the SG-615, alongside the weather and snow right now. The Puerto de Navacerrada fills up on snowy days: some people ski at the pass’s own resort, which opens when there is enough snow, and others carry on to Valdesquí. Check them before you leave and you will know whether there is snow at Navacerrada today and whether the road is white.

Navacerrada webcams live

Every Navacerrada live cam on this page belongs to the DGT, Spain's traffic authority. They show the road, the verges and the surroundings, not ski runs. The images refresh on their own every so often; reload the page to see the latest one.

What to look for on the Navacerrada webcams before you drive up

  • Is the road white? Check this first. If the tarmac looks white or shows tyre tracks in the snow, the DGT will usually require chains or winter tyres. If it is black and just wet, the risk is ice later in the afternoon.
  • Where does the snow start? Work through the cameras from the bottom up: km 12.5, El Ventorrillo, km 18.5 and the pass. The first one with white verges tells you the height at which the snow has settled.
  • Is it windy? If you see snow blowing across the road or off the ridges, there is a strong wind up top: colder than the thermometer suggests, and snow drifting onto the road.

When to check the webcams

Look at the cameras the night before to see whether it has snowed during the day, although the picture is dark at night. Check again between 8 and 9 am, once it is light, before you get in the car. Webcam and forecast work best together: a white camera plus snow forecast for today means leave early or pick another day.

Road conditions on the Puerto de Navacerrada

The pass sits at 1,858 m and links Madrid, via the M-601, with Segovia, via the CL-601. When it snows, the DGT can require chains or winter tyres and restrict lorries. Before you leave, check the official status at dgt.es or by calling 011: a webcam will not tell you which restrictions are in force.

Parking at the pass is limited and fills up early on snowy weekends. The pass’s ski area starts right at the col; if you prefer Valdesquí, carry on from the pass along the M-604 towards Cotos. You can see its slopes on the Valdesquí webcam and everything else in our Valdesquí guide.

Navacerrada beyond the webcam

The resort came close to disappearing. Its 2004 concession expired in February 2019, and in 2021 Spain’s Ministry for the Ecological Transition decided not to renew the slopes on the Segovia side (El Escaparate, El Telégrafo and El Bosque), in the Valsaín pine forest, which has been part of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park since 2013. In October 2022 the national parks agency began dismantling abandoned lifts, and the future of that side is still in the hands of the Castilla y León government and the Ministry.

The Madrid side found another way: in December 2024 the Madrid regional government granted the resort company a 29-year concession over some 54,000 m² at Guarramillas. On 23 March 2025 Guarramillas opened with all its chairlifts, the widest opening since 2021, and the 2025/26 season ended on 25 March 2026. It depends heavily on natural snow: some winters it opens for only a few weeks.

Above it is the Bola del Mundo, the summit with the TV masts, which gives its name to the upper level in the weather block. If the pass camera shows snow but the Bola del Mundo forecast shows strong wind, the chairlifts may stop even with good snow.

The Cercedilla–Cotos train (line C-9), which stopped at the Puerto de Navacerrada after climbing 719 m in 18 km, has been closed for works since 2024 and Renfe runs replacement buses; in September 2026 there was still no reopening date. If you plan to go by public transport, check the bus timetable before you set off.

If the webcam says yes: get your gear sorted
