Parking at Grandvalira depends on the sector you enter from: in Canillo, Soldeu and El Tarter the resort's car parks are free with a day lift pass; in Pas de la Casa there is a free car park next to the slopes alongside paid ones in the town; and in Encamp the practical option is to leave the car down below and go up on the Funicamp. El Tarter is also getting a new covered, multi-storey car park, but it is still only a project: here is what has been confirmed.
The new El Tarter car park: what we know
On 16 September 2026, Canillo's head of council (cònsol major), Jordi Alcobé, explained that the open-air car park at the foot of the slopes in El Tarter, next to the gondola, will be replaced by a covered multi-storey car park with 700 spaces, the same number as now ("we won't lose a single space"). It would be built by the developer of the housing project planned on that land, at no cost to the Comú or to the company that runs the slopes.
- Status: the agreement is still being negotiated and they want to close it in the coming weeks. After that, the planning procedures still have to be completed.
- Timeline: 2 to 3 years is being mentioned. It will not be ready for the 2026/27 season.
- This season: according to the Comú, no season will be left without parking while the works last.
- Not confirmed: prices, booking system, electric chargers and opening date. Figures vary between media outlets (some mention 850 current spaces or an underground car park); here we use those from the Diari d'Andorra, which published the interview.

Parking in Canillo, Soldeu and El Tarter: free with your lift pass
Grandvalira states that the car parks at L'Arenyeta and Prat del Riu (Canillo), L'Avet and Bassers (Soldeu) and Sant Pere (El Tarter) are free from 8:00 to 20:00 with any lift pass except the child pass. When you leave, you show your parking ticket together with your lift pass; with a season pass, the pass itself works as your ticket. L'Avet, in Soldeu, is covered and has direct access to the slopes. Outside those hours you pay by the hour. As conditions can change from one season to the next, confirm them on the Grandvalira website or app before you go; the app also shows real-time occupancy.

Parking in Pas de la Casa
The Costa Rodona car park, next to the slopes, is free and usually has space. In the town, the Abelletes car park (Indigo) is open 24 hours: the first 30 minutes are free and after that you pay by time (as of 17 September 2026 it charged €2.35 per hour, €4.60 for two hours and €8.90 for four hours). Pas de la Casa is the sector with the most parking searches and it fills up on long weekends and at weekends: arriving before 9 makes all the difference.

Parking in Grau Roig
Grau Roig has a large open area at the foot of the slopes with lots of free spaces, which makes it a good gateway when Pas de la Casa is full. It sits right on the Port d'Envalira road, so in snow carry chains or fit winter tyres. Ski rental in Grau Roig · Grau Roig guide.
Encamp: leave the car and go up on the Funicamp
In Encamp the car park next to the Funicamp has few spaces. The alternative is to park in the town and ride the Funicamp up to the slopes; we explain it in detail in Encamp and the Funicamp. For your equipment: ski rental in Encamp.
Buses and Ski Bus
If you do not want to depend on parking, there are bus lines from Andorra la Vella to Encamp and a Ski Bus between Soldeu and El Tarter during the season. Timetables change every winter: check them on the Grandvalira website or on Andorra's public transport website before you set off.
Motorhomes
During the season, temporary motorhome areas are set up at Flor de Neu (Grau Roig), Bullidor (Pas de la Casa) and Prat de la Costa (El Tarter). Spaces are limited and may vary from one year to the next.
