Oberjoch at a glance

Oberjoch is the highest village in the municipality of Bad Hindelang, in the Bavarian Allgäu, at the foot of the Iseler and on the pass to Austria's Tannheimer Tal. The ski area has 32 km of blue, red and black runs, all linked to each other: three six-seater chairlifts (Iselerbahn, Wiedhagbahn and Grenzwiesbahn), the eight-seater Schwandenbahn chairlift and the Idealhanglift drag lift, reaching up to 1,559 m. Since the 2015 upgrade, the whole area can be covered with artificial snow.

It's a family resort: the 20,000 m² Ziener Schneekinderland sits at the bottom of the Iselerbahn, there are practice slopes on the Idealhang and at the Schwandenbahn, and the Easypark by the Idealhanglift has rollers, a banked turn and a small jump. On Thursdays there's night skiing from 17:30 to 21:00 on the Iselerbahn and the Idealhanglift. And it has history: Germany's first ski lift started running in Oberjoch in 1943.

2026/27 season: a day lift pass costs €55 for adults (born 2008 or earlier), €44.50 for young people (born 2009–2010) and €25 for children (born 2011–2020); a 6-day pass is €278 for adults. Children born in 2021 or later pay €11 a day. If you stay at one of the places that give out the Bad Hindelang PLUS guest card, the Oberjoch and Unterjoch lift pass is included. The season's opening date hasn't been published on the official website yet.

If you're staying in Oberstdorf or the Kleinwalsertal (Nebelhorn, Fellhorn/Kanzelwand, Söllereck), or in Balderschwang, those Allgäu resorts have their own ski hire page: you'll find them just below.

Complete your trip to Oberjoch

The Oberjoch lift pass isn't sold on CaranvaSports: buy it at the resort's ticket offices (€55 a day for adults in 2026/27), or it's included with the Bad Hindelang PLUS card if your accommodation provides one.
