Wengen at a glance
Wengen is a village without cars, at 1,274 m in the Jungfrau Region (Bernese Oberland), facing the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Its slopes belong to the Grindelwald-Wengen ski area — Kleine Scheidegg, Lauberhorn and Männlichen — the largest in the region. Together with Grindelwald-First and Mürren-Schilthorn it makes up the Jungfrau Ski Region: 3 ski areas and 211 km of slopes on one lift pass.
Wengen is home to the Lauberhorn: at 4,480 m, the longest downhill in the Alpine Ski World Cup, raced in mid-January. From the beginning of January until the race the course is closed to the public; before and after, good skiers can ski the original course, included in the lift pass.
2026/27 season: the Jungfrau Ski Region lift pass is on sale for 21 November 2026 to 25 April 2027 and costs from CHF 79, according to jungfrau.ch. The opening date depends on snow and hasn't been set yet: until the end of November they expect to open only at weekends, or only in part.
Complete your trip to Wengen
The Jungfrau Ski Region lift pass (Grindelwald, Wengen and Mürren) isn't sold on CaranvaSports: you buy it on jungfrau.ch, from CHF 79 in the 2026/27 season.
