Ski school at Großer Arber: book your ski lessons with no prepayment

Looking for a ski school at Großer Arber for the 2026/27 season? Here you choose level, type of lesson and days in a minute. It is a request, not a purchase: you pay nothing on the website, we look for the place at a local ski school and confirm all the details before the lesson. It works whether it is your first time on skis or you already ski red runs and want to polish your technique.

Types of lesson and indicative price per day

  • Group lesson (2 hours): €42 a day, indicative price. You ski with other people of a similar level. It is the usual way to start or to gain confidence, and it costs less than a private lesson. Available for beginner, intermediate and advanced.
  • Private lesson (2 hours): €89 a day, indicative price. The instructor is with you alone, so the pace and the exercises adapt to what you need: losing your fear of a slope, moving from snowplough to parallel or fixing a specific habit.
  • Lessons for children: €42 a day in a group or €89 a day private, indicative prices. Choose the “Children” level. The school that confirms the place will tell you from what age it accepts children and how it organises the groups.

Indicative prices by number of days

DaysGroup (2 h a day)Private (2 h a day)
1 day€42€89
2 days€84€178
3 days€126€267
4 days€168€356
5 days€210€445

The total is the price per day multiplied by the days. These are indicative prices: we confirm the final price before the lesson and you pay it at the school, not on the website.

How the request works in 4 steps

  1. Choose the level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced or Children), the type of lesson (group or private, 2 hours) and the days.
  2. Send the request. 0% online: nothing is charged when you book.
  3. We confirm by email the school, meeting point, time and final price before the lesson. If we cannot find a place on the dates you ask for, we tell you and you pay nothing.
  4. You go to the lesson and pay directly at the school.

What the lesson does not include

The lesson price includes neither the lift pass nor the equipment. The lift pass is bought separately, at the Großer Arber ticket offices or in its official online ticket shop. For equipment you can book our ski rental at Großer Arber and, if you are missing snow clothing, our ski clothing rental at Großer Arber.

Großer Arber: what you should know

At 1,456 m, the Großer Arber is the highest mountain of the Bavarian-Bohemian massif, and the resort describes itself as the largest family ski area in the Bavarian Forest. For learning there is the ArBär-Kinderland at the Thurnhof: gentle slopes, open terrain so you can always keep an eye on the children, and four conveyor belts 15, 30, 70 and 100 m long. To keep progressing there are 6-seater chairlifts on the Sonnenhang and the Nordhang and a gondola that goes almost to the summit. According to the official website, there are 14 ski and snowboard schools in the Arber area in total, and we look for your place at one of them.

When to book and how to cancel

At Christmas, Easter, at weekends and during school holidays the schools fill up earlier, especially for private and children’s lessons, so it is worth sending your request in good time. Großer Arber has not yet announced its opening date for the 2026/27 season. As you pay nothing online, cancelling the request costs nothing before we confirm it; once it is confirmed with the school, we give you the school’s cancellation conditions in the confirmation.
