Ski school in Sankt Englmar: book ski lessons

This page lets you request a ski lesson in Sankt Englmar without paying anything up front. You choose the level, the type of lesson and the days, and send us the request. It is not a purchase: it is a request for a place that we arrange with a ski school in the area. Nothing is fixed until we have confirmed everything by email, and you pay at the ski school, not on this website.

Types of lesson and indicative prices

• Group lesson (2 hours) — indicative price €42 per day. You learn with other skiers of a similar level; the usual choice for beginners and for anyone who wants to consolidate their technique at a relaxed pace.
• Private lesson (2 hours) — indicative price €89 per day. The instructor works with you alone and shapes the lesson around what you want to improve: your first turns, moving up to red runs, hard snow or a fear of speed.
• Ski lessons for children — the same format, as a group lesson (€42 per day, indicative) or a private lesson (€89 per day, indicative). We tell you in the confirmation from what age children are accepted and how the lesson works.

Levels: Beginner (never skied or only a few days), Intermediate (you ski blue runs and are starting on reds), Advanced (you ski confidently and want to refine your technique) and Children. If you are unsure, say so in the request and we will discuss it with the school.

The indicative price is per day of a 2-hour lesson; the total is that price multiplied by the number of days:

How the request works

1. You choose the level, the type of lesson (group or private, 2 hours) and the days, and send the request. You pay nothing on the website.
2. We look for a place at a local ski school in Sankt Englmar for your dates and level.
3. We confirm by email the ski school, the meeting point, the time and the final price, always before the lesson.
4. You go to the lesson and pay at the ski school. If we cannot find a place, we tell you and you pay nothing.

Until we have confirmed your lesson, cancelling the request costs nothing. Once it is confirmed with the school, we include the school's cancellation conditions in the confirmation. At Christmas, at Easter and on peak-season weekends places fill up sooner, so it is worth sending your request early.

What the lesson does not include

The lesson price does not include the ski pass (the lift ticket is bought separately at the resort) or the equipment. If you have no gear, you can book ski rental in Sankt Englmar (skis, boots and poles) and ski clothing rental, and turn up to the lesson fully equipped.

Skiing in Sankt Englmar

Sankt Englmar, in the Bavarian Forest, spreads its downhill skiing over several hills around the village. According to the regional tourist office, it has 12 km of pistes, 8 floodlit lifts and runs up to 2.5 km long, with easy and intermediate slopes: comfortable terrain for learning. There is snowmaking in several areas, and floodlit skiing is possible from Monday to Saturday on almost all the hills.

For children, the tourist office says the region has practice areas designed for them, with their own courses and modern lifts. When the 2026/27 season opens depends on the snow; the Sankt Englmar lifts publish their operating status on their website.
