Ski school Todtnauberg: book ski lessons

Todtnauberg sits on the southern side of the Feldberg in the southern Black Forest, between 1,000 and 1,400 m, with slopes for young and old, beginners and experienced skiers. Here you request your ski lesson in Todtnauberg — group or private, 2 hours, for beginners, intermediates, advanced skiers or kids. Caranva is not a ski school: with your request we look for a place with a local ski school in Todtnauberg and email you all the details before the lesson.

Lesson types and indicative price per day

• Group lesson (2 h) — €42 a day. You share an instructor with other skiers of a similar level. It's the usual way to start or to build confidence over several days in a row.
• Private lesson (2 h) — €89 a day. The instructor is with you alone and adapts the lesson to your pace: good for making your first turns with more confidence or for working on one specific part of your technique.
• Kids' ski lessons — €42 a day in a group or €89 private. Choose the “Kids” level when you book; we confirm the age and meeting point with the school.

Levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced and kids. You choose the days; each day is one 2-hour lesson.

Indicative prices by number of days

Indicative day price multiplied by the number of days, with no multi-day discount. The school sets the final price and we confirm it by email before the lesson. You pay nothing online.

How the request works

1. Choose the level, lesson type (group or private, 2 hours) and days, and send the request. You pay nothing online.
2. We look for a place for you with a local ski school in Todtnauberg.
3. We email you the school, meeting point, time and final price before the lesson. If we can't find a place, we tell you and you pay nothing.
4. You go to the lesson and pay the school directly.

Cancelling the request costs nothing before we confirm it; we give you the school's cancellation terms in the confirmation. Over Christmas, Easter and at weekends it's worth asking early, as that's when ski schools fill up most.

What the lesson doesn't include

The lesson includes neither the lift pass nor the equipment. According to the lift company's official website, all children in ski school need a lift pass. For reference, in the 2025/26 season a day pass cost €38 for adults and €25 for children aged 6 to 17, and Liftverbund Feldberg passes are also valid in Todtnauberg. We don't have our own rental in Todtnauberg: you can book skis with our ski hire in Feldberg, on the neighbouring mountain, and a jacket and trousers with our ski clothing hire in Todtnauberg.

Learning to ski in Todtnauberg

According to the official Skilifte Todtnauberg website, the area has 5 lifts and 16 km of pistes. The learning area is at the Bucklift: a 450 m lift with easy runs, a ski-school slope (Skischulhang) and a 102 m conveyor lift that runs from 10:00 to 16:30. With enough snow, the Kapellenlift offers floodlit skiing on Wednesdays and Fridays until 21:00 and has a beginner fun park away from the piste. There is parking at every lift. The 2026/27 season dates have not yet been published on the official website.
