Montgenèvre is 12 km from Briançon on the N94; from Italy you drive up over the Col de Montgenèvre, which is open all year. By train, the nearest stations are Briançon (20 minutes by car) and Oulx on the Italian side (25 minutes), with the ZOU! line 76 bus up to the resort.

Montgenèvre at a glance
Montgenèvre sits at 1,860 m on the French–Italian border in the Hautes-Alpes and bills itself as the oldest ski resort in France. Its ski area rises to 2,648 m at the Rocher de l'Aigle sector and has 95 km and 78 runs (9 green, 22 blue, 38 red and 9 black) served by 24 lifts. It faces south and more than 60% of the area is covered by snowmaking. The resort holds the Famille Plus family label and has a snowpark in the Gondrans sector and a boardercross in the Chalvet sector.
With the Montgenèvre + Monts de la Lune area you can ski across to Cesana in Italy: 110 km and 30 lifts. The Monts de la Lune link into the Milky Way (Via Lattea), with 400 km of pistes and 70 lifts across Claviere, Sestriere, Sauze d'Oulx, Cesana, Pragelato and Sansicario; Montgenèvre is the only French resort connected to it.
2026/27 season: open continuously from 28 November 2026 to 17 April 2027, and on November weekends beforehand if there is snow.
