With it you ski the 147 km of slopes in the Ötztal, between 1,350 and 3,340 m: the Giggijoch and Gaislachkogl areas and the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers.

Which range should I choose?

You choose the range when you book; the ski length is set when you collect them, according to your height, weight and ability.

• Bronze – for beginners and anyone who only skis a few days a year: easy-turning, forgiving skis, good for the blue runs on the Tiefenbach glacier. Full set, €24.50/day.
• Silver – for skiers who are comfortable on blue and red runs and want more stability on Sölden’s long descents. €30/day.
• Gold – for advanced skiers who want grip and precision at higher speed, on black runs or on the hard snow of the Rettenbach glacier. €38.50/day.
• Platinum – for expert skiers who push their kit in any snow. €49.50/day.
• Ski touring (Platinum) – touring kit for climbing under your own steam. Full set €51.50/day; skis only €50/day.
• Cross-country (Platinum) – full Nordic ski set. €28/day.
• Kids – children’s kit with bindings set to the child’s weight, in three ranges: Bronze €19/day, Silver €24.50 and Gold €40.
• Snowboard – board and boots: Bronze (Step On) €30/day, Silver €38.50, Gold €49.50, kids €24.50 and splitboard €61.

What does each pack include?

• Full ski set: skis with bindings set to your weight, height and ability, boots and poles.
• Skis only: if you bring your own boots. From €20.50/day (kids from €17).
• Boots only: if you bring your own skis. From €12.50/day (kids €10).
• Full snowboard set: board and boots. You can also hire just the board (from €28/day; kids €23.50) or just the boots (from €12.50/day).

A helmet is not included in any pack and cannot be booked on this page.

How much does it cost to hire skis for several days in Sölden?

Total for the full set by number of rental days. In Sölden every day costs the same: the total is the daily price multiplied by the number of days, and you see it when you pick your dates, before you pay.

Where and when do I collect and return my kit?

• Pick-up point: our shop in Sölden (CaranvaSports Sölden). The exact address and opening hours come in your confirmation email, with your booking number.
• Return: at the same place, at the end of your last rental day.

From the village you go up to the slopes on the two access lifts, the Giggijochbahn and the Gaislachkoglbahn, both with paid parking (€5 up to 4 hours, €7 up to 10 hours, a maximum of €21 for 24 hours). If you stay in Hochsölden, at 2,083 m, you ski straight from the hotel door.

How does booking work?

1. Choose ski or snowboard, the range and the pack: full set, skis or board only, or boots only.
2. Pick your collection and return dates: the total appears straight away.
3. Enter each skier’s height, weight, ability and shoe size and pay online.
4. You receive the address of the pick-up point in Sölden by email and collect your fitted kit with no queuing. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before and the CaranvaSports Guarantee.

Sölden at a glance

Sölden is in the Ötztal valley in Austrian Tyrol: 147 km of slopes between 1,350 and 3,340 m, 31 lifts and three areas linked by lifts and runs – Giggijoch, Gaislachkogl and the glacier. It is the only ski area in Austria with three lift-served peaks over 3,000 m, the BIG3, and from the highest, the Schwarze Schneide (3,340 m), starts the longest ski run in Austria.

The Rettenbach glacier (2,675–3,250 m) has the more demanding runs, including the piste where the alpine skiing World Cup opens every October (in 2026, on 24 and 25 October); the flatter Tiefenbach glacier (2,795–3,249 m) suits beginners. The Giggijoch has the ski schools’ children’s areas and a snowpark of about 5 hectares.

2026/27 season: the winter ski area is open from 12 November 2026 to 18 April 2027, depending on snow; the glacier opens on 25 September and you can ski there until 2 May 2027. The nearest airport is Innsbruck, 83 km away (1 h 15 min), and Munich is 231 km away; by train you go to Ötztal-Bahnhof, then by bus to Sölden every half hour.

We don’t sell lift passes: buy them at soelden.com or at the ticket office. An adult one-day pass for 2026/27 costs, at the ticket office, €81 in early season (until 4 December), €84.50 in main season and €86.50 in peak season (Christmas and February). From 3 days it is the Ötztal Superskipass, valid in all six ski areas in the valley.
