Ski school Winklmoosalm: book your ski lessons

Want to learn to ski in Winklmoosalm or improve your technique? Here you request your ski lesson without paying anything up front: choose your level, group or private, and the days. With that request we look for a place at a local ski school and, before the lesson, email you all the details: school, meeting point, time and final price. You pay for the lesson directly at the school.

Lesson types and indicative prices

• Group lesson (2 h) – you learn alongside other students of a similar level. It is the most affordable option and the usual way to start or to gain confidence on the slopes. Indicative price: €42 per day.
• Private lesson (2 h) – the instructor focuses on you alone: you progress at your own pace and work on exactly what you need. Indicative price: €89 per day.
• Lessons for children – Children level, group (€42 per day) or private (€89 per day). Tell us the child's age in the request and whether they have skied before, and we will tell you which option fits.

In every case you choose a level: Beginner (you have never skied or only a few times), Intermediate (you ski easy runs and want to feel at ease on medium ones) or Advanced (you want to polish your technique or take on steeper slopes and tougher snow). The indicative price is the same for all three levels.

Indicative prices by number of days

Prices are per day of a 2-hour lesson; the total is the daily price times the number of days. These are indicative prices: we confirm the final price before the lesson.

How the request works

1. Choose level, lesson type and days and send the request. You pay nothing on the website (0% online).
2. We look for a place at a local ski school for your dates and level.
3. We email you the school, meeting point, time and final price before the lesson. If we cannot find a place, we tell you and you pay nothing.
4. You take the lesson and pay directly at the school.

Cancelling the request costs nothing as long as we have not confirmed it. Once it is confirmed with the school, we include the school's cancellation terms in the confirmation.

When to book: at Christmas, Easter and on peak-season weekends ski school places fill up earlier, so it is best to send your request in good time. The sooner we receive it, the more room we have to find a time that suits you.

What the lesson does not include

The indicative price covers the lesson only. It does not include the lift pass (bought separately at the resort ticket offices or website) or equipment: skis, boots, poles and helmet. If you have no gear, you can book ski hire in Winklmoosalm for the same days and have it ready before the lesson.

Winklmoosalm: where you ski

The Winklmoosalm is the ski area of Reit im Winkl in Bavaria, right on the Austrian border. According to its official website, the German side has 12 km of pistes and 5 lifts, natural snow only, and is aimed at families and beginners: it ranges from a wide beginner slope to the Nordhang, a black run, so there is terrain for every level.

The area is shared with the Steinplatte in Tyrol: the joint Winklmoosalm & Steinplatte pass gives you 13 lifts and the more demanding slopes on the Austrian side, aimed at experienced skiers. If you want an advanced lesson, say so in your request.

You go up by gondola from Seegatterl, a part of Reit im Winkl on the road towards Ruhpolding, where the resort car parks are; a ski bus links Reit im Winkl centre with the gondola. The 2026/27 season dates have not yet been published on the official website. We confirm your lesson's meeting point together with the school.
