Alpe d'Huez at a glance
Alpe d'Huez sits in the Isère, in the Oisans valley, at 1,860 m and less than an hour's drive from Grenoble; the road climbs up its famous 21 hairpin bends. The ski area has 250 km of pistes, 111 runs (36 green, 29 blue, 27 red and 16 black) and 67 lifts, and tops out at the 3,330 m Pic Blanc. The slopes face south and the resort boasts 300 days of sunshine a year.
From the Pic Blanc starts the Sarenne, which the resort bills as the longest black run in Europe: 16 km and 1,820 m of vertical, down to 1,510 m.
2026/27 season: 5 December 2026 to 25 April 2027. The nearest railway station is Grenoble; Grenoble-Alpes-Isère airport is about 100 km away, with flights from the UK and Ireland, and Lyon-Saint Exupéry about 150 km. By car it takes around 2 h 30 from Lyon and 2 h 45 from Geneva.
Alpe d'Huez lift pass 2026/27. It is not included in the hire and we don't sell it: buy it at skipass.alpedhuez.com or at the ticket office. From 19 December 2026 to 9 April 2027, an adult day pass (13-64) costs €68 and 6 days €336.50; a child pass (5-12) costs €56.50 a day and €264 for 6 days. Reduced rates apply from 5 to 12 December and from 10 to 18 April. With the online Family offer (2 adults and 2 children aged 5 to 22, booked at least 3 days ahead), 6 days cost €264 per person on those dates and include 2 days' skiing in Les 2 Alpes.
