Ski school in Kampenwand: book ski lessons

This page lets you request a ski lesson in Kampenwand without paying anything up front. You choose the level, the type of lesson and the days, and send us the request. It is not a purchase: it is a request for a place that we arrange with a ski school in the area. Nothing is fixed until we have confirmed everything by email, and you pay at the ski school, not on this website.

Types of lesson and indicative prices

• Group lesson (2 hours) — indicative price €42 per day. You learn with other skiers of a similar level; the usual choice for beginners and for anyone who wants to consolidate their technique at a relaxed pace.
• Private lesson (2 hours) — indicative price €89 per day. The instructor works with you alone and shapes the lesson around what you want to improve: your first turns, moving up to red runs, hard snow or a fear of speed.
• Ski lessons for children — the same format, as a group lesson (€42 per day, indicative) or a private lesson (€89 per day, indicative). We tell you in the confirmation from what age children are accepted and how the lesson works.

Levels: Beginner (never skied or only a few days), Intermediate (you ski blue runs and are starting on reds), Advanced (you ski confidently and want to refine your technique) and Children. If you are unsure, say so in the request and we will discuss it with the school.

The indicative price is per day of a 2-hour lesson; the total is that price multiplied by the number of days:

How the request works

1. You choose the level, the type of lesson (group or private, 2 hours) and the days, and send the request. You pay nothing on the website.
2. We look for a place at a local ski school in Kampenwand for your dates and level.
3. We confirm by email the ski school, the meeting point, the time and the final price, always before the lesson.
4. You go to the lesson and pay at the ski school. If we cannot find a place, we tell you and you pay nothing.

Until we have confirmed your lesson, cancelling the request costs nothing. Once it is confirmed with the school, we include the school's cancellation conditions in the confirmation. At Christmas, at Easter and on peak-season weekends places fill up sooner, so it is worth sending your request early.

What the lesson does not include

The lesson price does not include the ski pass (the lift ticket is bought separately at the resort) or the equipment. If you have no gear, you can book ski rental in Kampenwand (skis, boots and poles) and ski clothing rental, and turn up to the lesson fully equipped.

Skiing on the Kampenwand

The Kampenwand rises above Aschau im Chiemgau in the Chiemgau Alps, looking out over Lake Chiemsee. The 4-seater gondolas of the Kampenwandseilbahn take you up to almost 1,500 m, and the lift company itself calls it one of the last ski runs with purely natural snow. Its highlight is the 5 km run down to the valley with an 840 m vertical drop (runs 2 and 3 on the piste map, red and blue), which is groomed when there is enough snow.

The Steinling drag lift, which the lift company describes as an ideal family slope, and the Kaltwasser and Rossleiten lifts did not run in winter 2025/26 because of maintenance work; the lift company announces which lifts will open in 2026/27. In addition, from 9 November to 24 December 2026 the cable car does not run on weekdays because of its annual inspection. Since everything here depends on natural snow, if we cannot confirm a lesson for your date we tell you and you pay nothing.
