Lesson types and indicative price per day
- Group lesson (2 h): €42 per day, indicative price. You share an instructor with other skiers of a similar level. A good way to get started and keep improving, and it costs less than a private lesson.
- Private lesson (2 h): €89 per day, indicative price. The instructor is there just for you, so the lesson follows your pace and focuses on what you want to work on: your first turns, parallel skiing or skiing harder slopes with confidence.
- Ski lessons for children: group (€42 per day) or private (€89 per day), also 2 hours and at an indicative price. Add your child's age and level to the request; the minimum age and conditions depend on the ski school and we tell you in the confirmation.
Adults choose one of three levels: Beginner (you have never skied or have only just started), Intermediate (you already link turns on easy slopes) and Advanced (you ski most slopes and want to polish your technique). The indicative price is the same for all three levels.

The ski area: Oberwiesenthal – Fichtelberg
At 1,215 m the Fichtelberg is the highest mountain in Saxony and sits right on the Czech border; at its foot lies Oberwiesenthal, the highest town in Germany. The ski area has 10 runs and 15.5 km between 911 and 1,215 m: 6.8 km easy, 6.1 km intermediate and 1.2 km difficult, with around 12.1 km covered by snowmaking. Six lifts take you up: the Fichtelberg-Schwebebahn, built in 1924 and Germany's oldest aerial tramway, a four-seater chairlift and four drag lifts. The resort's lift list also includes a magic carpet (Zauberteppich) for first steps, and the main slope is floodlit for night skiing.
With a pass of 1.5 days or more you can also ski across the border on the Klínovec: together they form the InterSkiregion Fichtelberg–Klínovec, with 15 lifts and 45 km of runs. The resort has not yet published lift pass prices or the opening date for the 2026/27 season.
