You choose the range when you book; boot size and ski length are adjusted at pick-up. On the Ofterschwanger Horn most runs are easy or intermediate, so Bronze or Silver is enough for almost everyone; Gold and Platinum make sense if you are after the World Cup piste.

• Bronze — for beginners and anyone who only skis a few days a year: easy-turning, forgiving skis. Full set from €24.50/day.
• Silver — if you already ski intermediate runs confidently and want more stability. From €30/day.
• Gold — for advanced skiers looking for precision on steep runs and hard snow. From €38.50/day.
• Platinum — the top range on this page, for expert skiers. From €49.50/day.
• Children (Bronze, Silver and Gold - Junior) — children’s sizes with bindings set to the child’s weight. From €19/day.
• Ski touring and cross-country — touring kit (Platinum, €51.50/day) and cross-country kit (Platinum, €28/day).

For snowboarding there are four adult ranges — Bronze (€30/day), Silver (€38.50/day), Gold (€49.50/day) and splitboard (€61/day) — and one for children (Bronze - Junior, €24.50/day).

What each package includes

• Ski full set: skis with the bindings adjusted, boots and poles.
• Skis only (from €20.50/day) or boots only (from €12.50/day), if you already have part of the kit.
• Snowboard full set: board and boots. Board only from €28/day; boots only from €12.50/day.

A helmet is not part of any package and cannot be added to this booking: bring your own.

In Ofterschwang the daily price does not drop as you add days: the total is the daily price multiplied by the days you book, and you see it in full before paying.

Where and when to collect and return

The exact pick-up point in Ofterschwang, with its opening hours, comes in your booking confirmation email. You return the equipment to the same place on your last booked day.

You get up the mountain from two valleys: in Ofterschwang on the Weltcup-Express four-seater chairlift (six minutes to the top) and in Gunzesried on the Ossi-Reichert-Bahn eight-seater gondola (eight minutes), which has more than 600 parking spaces. Parking at both base stations is paid. By car, take the A7 Ulm–Kempten and the B19 towards Sonthofen; 14 km before Oberstdorf, turn right for Ofterschwang (signposted “Ofterschwanger Horn”) or for Gunzesried (“Ossi-Reichert-Bahn”). By public transport there is bus line 47 and local services from Sonthofen to Ofterschwang and from Blaichach to Gunzesried.

Ofterschwang and the Ofterschwanger Horn in brief

Ofterschwang is one of the Hörnerdörfer villages in the Oberallgäu, at 864 m, and its mountain is the Ofterschwanger Horn. The Ofterschwang-Gunzesried ski area spans two valleys with 18 km of pistes, from gentle to very steep: mostly easy and intermediate runs, plus the Weltcup-Strecke, the piste of the women’s Alpine Ski World Cup. It is served by the Weltcup-Express, the Ossi-Reichert-Bahn (in two sections), the Gipfel 6er six-seater chairlift to the highest point on the Ofterschwanger Horn, the Alpe-Eck drag lift, a beginners’ lift in Ofterschwang and the Kinderland children’s area at the top station of the Weltcup-Express, at 1,300 m. 90% of the pistes can be covered by snowmaking.

For days off skis there is a natural toboggan run of about 1 km between the top and middle stations of the Ossi-Reichert-Bahn, a 2.5 km winter walking trail around the Horn at 1,300 m, and seven huts and mountain restaurants.

2026/27 season: the lifts plan to run from early December 2026 to the end of March 2027, depending on snow, daily from 8:30 to 16:00. Lift passes are extra. The one-day and two-day passes are also valid in Bolsterlang (Hörnerbahn), with a shuttle bus included between the two base stations every hour from 11:00 to 16:00 (7 minutes). From 3 days there is the Hörner-Schnee(S)pass 2026/27, valid in Balderschwang, Grasgehren, Bolsterlang, Ofterschwang and Fischen: €149.50 for 3 days and €246.50 for 6 days for adults. The 2026/27 one-day pass price has not been published yet.
