Morillon and the Grand Massif at a glance
Morillon is a Haute-Savoie village in the Giffre valley, in two parts: the village and its hamlets (Les Champs, Le Verney) at 700 m, and the resort of Morillon 1100 Les Esserts, 400 m higher, on the wooded Les Esserts plateau, with ski-in, ski-out access. The Morillon ski area, between 1,100 and 2,100 m, has 9 lifts. It is a very family-friendly resort: there is a beginner area (Les Esserts chairlift, Télédébutant drag lift and the Essertoux carpet lift) and the Marvel, a 5 km green run with life-size animal figures hidden along the way. The Coulouvrier chairlift, a 2.9 km ride, takes you to the top of the sector (2,120 m) and to the runs towards Les Carroz, Samoëns and Flaine.
The Grand Massif links five resorts – Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval – with 139 runs, 60 lifts and 265 km of pistes, up to 2,500 m at the Grandes Platières in Flaine. Which suits you? Morillon and Les Carroz for families and relaxed skiing through the forest; Samoëns for village life plus big skiing; Flaine for high-altitude skiing and powder in the Combe de Gers.
2026/27 season: Morillon from 19 December 2026 to 4 April 2027. Access is via the A40 motorway (Cluses exit); Geneva airport is an hour away and Cluses station is 15 km from the nearest Grand Massif resort.
We don’t sell lift passes: buy them at grand-massif.com or at the ticket offices. 2026/27 day prices: Grand Massif pass (all five resorts) €63 for ages 15-74 and €50.40 for ages 8-14; Villages pass (Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt, without Flaine) €58.50 and €46.80; Morillon Beginner pass €24.80 and €19.80. Under-8s and over-75s don’t pay for a day pass (at the ticket office, with proof of age).
